Where do the grapes of our Châteauneuf du Pape come from?

We are often asked where the grapes for our César and Honorine cuvées in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation come from.

Voici the plot map of Terroirs and lieux-dits, which can be consulted on the appellation website, and which also takes into account the relief of the land!

Our red Châteauneuf is produced from vines planted in the Palestor district to the north of the appellation.
And our white is made from vines planted in the Bertaude district a little further north.

Many of you will be familiar with the famous Châteauneuf du Pape pebbles. But they are not the only soils in the appellation!

The grapes for our wines are grown on sandy, chalky soils. This results in wines with greater finesse and elegance, crisper fruit notes without heaviness.

Labadens (n,m)

Comrade, companion or classmate. This name appeared for the first time in a play written by Eugène Labiche, l'affaire de la rue de Lourcine in 1857.
We are two labadens oenologists, wishing to produce wines of quality resulting from a tailor-made, small batch wine making. We pay particular attention to local grape varieties that are sometimes neglected and to organic farming.
