Terroir

Loess soils, Roussanne planted in the town of Larnage near the Château de Larnage, Marsanne are planted on the hills of Crozes.

Winemaking

Harvested by hand, gentle pneumatic pressing, fairly light settling.
Separate vinification. Roussanne has completed its fermentation in barrels followed by aging for 10 months in barrels. Batonnage at the start of aging on fine lees.
The Marsanne is fermented and matured in stainless steel vats. Blending and bottling in July.

Vintage

2022

Very early vintage, very hot and dry. Rainfall in late August and September allowing for faster ripening and harvesting.

The nose is very expressive, with notes of honey, gingerbread and preserved lemons, ample on the palate, well-balanced, with elegant notes of pear and citrus fruit bringing a freshness and notes of white flowers on the long finish.

Food and wine pairing

With cooked shellfish such as lobster or abalone, with tuna or salmon tartar with ginger, with fish and seafood.
